Golf Course in the Treeline Corridor

Treeline Corridor in Fort Myers homes for sale. Treeline is an area of new development by Centex Homes, GL Homes, Pulte, Lennar and WCI. Pelican Preserve with its optional Golf was first built in 2000 and continues with new construction even today. Treeline stretches from Daniels Blvd to Colonial Blvd, or from The Plantation to Pelican Preserve and Colonial Country Club.  Colonial Country Club first sold their homes in this golf community in 2005; here you own homes which have mandatory golf requirements and homes whose owners pay for golf only when they play. Botanica Lakes is a GL Homes development which first sold homes in 2006. This was a community which practically sold out instantly because it had no golf course and low HOA fees. The Plantation was built in 2007 by Centex Homes with two sub divisions, Somerset with optional Golf and Bridgetown with no golf. A whole new section was added to Bridgetown in 2015 and is still under construction. The Somerset division is almost built out. The Planation and Pelican Preserve stopped building during the recession and came back full swing in 2011. Marina Bay is a new GL Homes development which was planned after the success of Botanica Lakes and is the newest addition to the Treeline Corridor. It was first built in 2015 and is still under heavy construction. There is again no golf course in this community. Marina Bay and Botanica Lakes do not offer condominiums but well priced single family and attached homes. When you buy in this area you should check if CDD fees are part of your property tax. Many builders of new construction used the CDD - Community District Development - fees to offset their building costs. 

 

Arborwood Preserve does not border the Treeline corridor. You access Arborwood via a road just north of the entrance to Somerset of the The Plantation. It is a new, gated community being built by Lennar. Arborwood has a Town Center with outside dining, resort style pool, tennis and pickle ball, movie nights and sporting events. It features single family homes and condominiums with attached one or two car garages. CDD community.

 

Botanica Lakes is a gated community in the Treeline Corridor, just south of Colonial Country Club and across from Pelican Preserve. Botanica Lakes was built by GL homes and the first community in the corridor without a golf course. This kept HOA fees low and the community sold out in record time. It offers 500 Mediterranean style single-family homes with up to 6 BR. When we last checked HOA Fees were $325 Monthly. CDD community.

 

Colonial Country Club in Fort Myers offers single family homes, attached homes, coach homes and condominiums. What most strikes one about Colonial Country Club are the many lakes; so many, that just about every residence looks out on a lake. Residences at Colonial Country Club belong to neighborhoods which either require a full golf membership or allow residents to pay for golf only when they play. Condominiums are offered as coach homes with garages, townhomes and condominiums with carports. Most condominiums do not require golf memberships, with few exceptions. CDD community.

 

Following the success of Botanica Lakes, GL homes built Marina Bay just south of Botanica Lakes, starting in 2015. Single family homes with up to 5 BR, and attached villas. No golf course but a great community center with a clubhouse and fully equipped fitness center, aerobics studio, indoor sports court, social hall, catering kitchen, game room, card room, resort-style pool, lap pool, tennis courts and pickle ball courts. CDD community.

 

Pelican Preserve is a  55+ communities with single family homes, estate homes, villas, attached homes, coach homes and condominiums. It is an ever growing WCI community which was first built in 2006. Lennar is now building the new construction homes.  Pelican Preserve is most known for its Plaza Del Sol, a 70,000 sq. ft. town center with an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, a 99 seat movie theater, restaurants, workshops, library, hobby shops, wifi room, lighted tennis courts, softball field, Amphitheater, fishing pier, a nature board walk and more. Pelican Preserve has a 27 hole golf course and membership is optional. CDD community.

 

The Plantation was first built by Centex in 2006, and toward the end of the recession Pulte took over. It is just about built-out. The master plan Plantation community consists of two gated neighborhoods with separate entrances. Somerset at the Plantation has a 18 hole Hurdzan-Fry championship golf course with optional membership. Complementing the course is a 38,000 sq. ft. clubhouse which is known as the Great House and impresses with its British Colonial style architecture. Somerset offers single family homes, villas and coach homes.

The entrance to Bridgetown is located north of the Somerset entry. Here you find single family homes and villas. Owners may not have a golf membership. Bridgetown Hall is the center of this community and offers a pool, spa, barefoot bar, tennis, pickle ball, game room, booce ball and an activities director. CDD community.
